Workshop Details

You love flowers. You dream of having your own floral design business. You're looking for answers to basic floral design questions, but aren't sure who to ask. We hear this story often and we want to help. I Want To Be a Floral Designer was created with you in mind, so join Holly Chapple at Hope Flower Farm and let's get your journey started!

Date: March 19th - 20th, 2018

Time: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Location: Hope Flower Farm | Waterford, Virginia

We've taken great care to make sure your experience at HOPE is a meaningful one. We want you to feel comfortable from the moment you settle into your guestroom at Hope Flower Farm, the newest addition to Holly Chapple Flowers. You'll enjoy hands-on design time and business coaching with Holly in the serene rolling Virginia hills. We want you to learn, ask lots of questions,  dream about your future and leave HOPE with a plan for pursuing your dream of becoming a floral designer.

Sample Topics:

Basic Floral Design Skills (with hands-on instruction including wiring. taping & gluing flowers), Constructing a Centerpiece, Blending Filler Flowers with Focal Flowers, Sourcing Flowers, Conditioning Flowers, Basic Social Media for Starting a Business, Tips on Flower Variety Longevity and much more.

Class Size: Limited to 5 students

(This class is designed for individuals with little or no experience.)

Cost: $2600

(tuition includes supplies, lodging on March 18th - 20th, breakfast and lunch with fully stocked fridge)

Transportation & Meals

Transportation: Washington Dulles International Airport is the closest airport. You'll need to take a cab or rent a car for the approx. 30 minute trip to Hope Flower Farm.

Meals: The Hope Farmhouse has a fully equipped kitchen with a stocked fridge. Breakfast and lunch are included. Attendees are welcome to grocery shop in town and cook dinners at the Farmhouse or dine at a restaurant  in nearby Lucketts/Leesburg.
